The Paradise Block of the Month Quilt uses 12 curated fabrics from Timeless Treasures that represent the colors of the tropics. Traditional piecing techniques are used in this 108” square quilt. The quilt pattern also comes with the option of a queen finish at 98” x 106”. This twelve-month program offers a variety of block and fabric combinations. The Paradise quilt uses 18 ¼ yards of Tonga batiks from Timeless Treasures Fabric.
The Paradise quilt, like many of the Block of the Month quilts by Wing and a Prayer, uses blocks made up of traditional techniques. The quilt center contains Half Square Triangle (HST) units, Flying Geese (FG), Hour Glass Blocks, Square-N-Square (SNS) blocks and Strip sets Mastering these quilt block components enables you to make all of the blocks and center sections of this quilt. It is so satisfying to complete block by block and then section by section. The outside border includes an uncommonly striking braided border.
To start this fun project, just pay a start up fee that covers the price of the Paradise Quilt Pattern. You will receive the first Block kit at the same time. Each month after that you receive the instruction sheets and Timeless Treasures fabric for one block or section of the quilt. Your credit card on file will be charged for the monthly fee. This continues until the 12th month when you receive the instructions and fabric for the final 2 borders and the binding. This kit includes the pattern and all the fabric for the quilt top and binding. If you prefer, you can order the Paradise Quilt as a one and done kit. I loved making this quilt.
